Our Holiday Make-up Classes were a HUGE hit last year so we are excited to offer them again this year and we have added a few classes to the schedule! These classes are all about the EYES, we will be using the brand new Limited Edition Holiday Palette from Jane Iredale to show you how to create a new look for the holiday season. Fall Make-up Trends 2015

The kids are back in school, leaves are starting to turn, and the nights are getting cooler! All this means that summer is coming to an end and fall is just around the corner! This is the perfect time for a little seasonal makeup refresh. 

At Fashion Week this past spring there were a number of new trends for fall, and some oldies but goodies. We picked out a few of our favorites to share with you! All these trends are wearable for any event, even if you aren’t a fashion model. Whether you’re heading out for a night on the town, working in the office or picking pumpkins with your family, we hope these trends inspire you to play with your makeup and step outside of the box this season.

Red Lips

Red lipstick doesn't sound all that revolutionary, but when it goes away for a few seasons in favor of clear balms and nude tints, then makes its comeback in a big, not-so-expected way on the fall runways, well, it's what we needed to get us excited about the makeup bag staple all over again. Finding the perfect red lip for your skin tone can be a daunting challenge. Luckily we have make-up specialist to help you and a variety of different shades of red to choose from! 

Peach or Rosey cheeks

Put aside your taupe sculpting powders and stock up on warm peach and rose blushes that make you look like you just went on a brisk, wintry walk. Go for natural and elegant with your blushes this year. Sharp defined contouring is always fun for special events when you need some extra definition for pictures, but day to day you want to keep things simple and natural on your cheeks. 


















Vampy Lips

We were happy that Red Lips were on the runway this year but we were slightly more excited that another bold lip is back in. Bottom line, it's time to accept the fact that the 90's are making a comeback! Maybe we can't (or shouldn't) all walk around with our mid-drifts hanging out, but I guarantee you will want a bold dark lip in your makeup bag this season! Don't be scared, there is something about pairing almost-black lipstick with soft, beachy waves, casual buns and stud-free clothing which made it a whole lot less intimidating to try.

Smokey Eyes

The best tip we picked up backstage for getting perfect smoky eyes was to blend until you think you can't blend any more and then keep blending. The result is ultra-diffused shadow that, while intense, still feels soft. The Smokey eye technique has been around for a while. A big mis-conception about the smokey eye is that it means black or dark. Yet the term smokey eye is meant only to describe the technique used to get the desired blended look. As you can see in the picture on the left, you can use any color to get the "Smokey Eye" effect! 












Lashes for days

The power of mascara, falsies and lash add-ons was demonstrated at Carolina Herrera, where silver sparkles on the tips of lashes gave a water droplet effect; Rachel Zoe, where models channeled Twiggy with their doe-eyes; and Giambattista Valli, where makeup artist Val Garland (pictured left) layered lengthening and volumes mascaras on the top and bottom for the prettiest lashes of the season. Lash extensions are becoming the new norm for getting natural, yet dramatic looking lashes. Here is a word about extensions from our very own lash specialist:
