Refine Peel: Aimee Day 6 & 7

Aimee's skin is now resurfacing as it progresses towards the outer zones of her face.  She says that her skin still feels a little chapped but it is getting better.

In the photo below, you can see flaky patches developing on the side of the cheek where the arrows are marked.  Also note the area encircled in blue.  It is not uncommon to develop a few blemishes as your pores clear during a resurfacing treatment or facial.

Based on how her skin is feeling, Aimee predicts that she is near the end of the flaking and peeling she has been experiencing over the last week.

Refine Peel System: Aimee Days 4 & 5

WOW!  Aimee's skin is resurfacing like crazy! Check it out! Even in low light, you can see major areas of peeling and flaking on her forehead and chin.  This photo was taken on the evening of the 4th day.

Aimee says that her skin continues to feel "chapped" in addition to the new areas of peeling.  Those chapped areas will most likely loosen and flake off by tomorrow or the next day.

With or without this beautifully sunny spring weather, it is important for post-peel clients to use a broad spectrum sunscreen. Our Marini Physical Protectant has an SPF of 45 and protects against both UVA & UVB rays.  This is a very light weight formula with a universal tint. This product also contains green tea extract that calms and soothes skin that has been exposed to the sun's heat and ultraviolet rays.

Refine Peel System: Aimee Day 3

Today Aimee reports that peeling did not start until later in the day.  The peeling is most noticeable around her nose and the area above her upper lip.

This afternoon she noticed rough patches of skin on her chin and around her mouth.  This evening those same areas started to lightly peel when she cleansed her face. Tonight, in addition to cleansing, she added the Skin Zyme mask, which will gently aid in her skin resurfacing.  This remarkable product uses proteolytic enzymes to digest dead & damaged skin cells without irritating sensitive skin.  This makes the Skin Zyme mask the perfect post-procedure product for the Refine Peel System.

Aimee has not reported any itching, burning, pain, or discomfort while her skin has started to resurface.  We'll be back with more tomorrow...
